I read persys pov first wasn’t aware hades pov existed but it was neat to see things from his perspective I enjoyed it but it the books did feel like repeats. Persys story was more intriguing to me but there was so much detail in this one it’s difficult to wrap my mind around everything that’s happening beginning to end.

This follows the same plot as A Touch of Darkness but from Hades's perspectives. We are introduced more thoroughly to some characters that Hades knows more than Persephone. I loved that we got to see what a nice friendship Hades has with Hecate. She is powerful in her own right and her interactions with other gods and characters display how well respected and feared she is too. I appreciated that the mythology of the Fates was woven into the story. We didn't really get to see that from Persephone's perspective. Of course, Hades works closely with the Fates, so it made sense that we'd get to see more of them. We also get new settings such as Olympus where important plot points are expanded upon. I appreciated getting this perspective since it felt fresh, which can be difficult to do when you are rehashing the same story over again. The author did a great job with it, though. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of her books and do recommend picking this one up if you enjoyed A Touch of Darkness. I will note that I think you get the most out of this book if you
