An interesting continuation to the first book of the series. However, it does leave you where you NEED to read the next book to find out what happens next, which is somewhat annoying. I’d say it’s a good story, but definitely not my favorite Warriors book. The tribe plot line seemed a little random to have. I hope it appears in the future because if not it seems kind of useless and only exists to kill off Feathertail but I do have to admit that her death had caught me off guard. I always thought it would be Stormfur. This book also seems to focus a lot on Romance which, I’m not complaining, I was just surprised. I also found that the Hawkfrost twist was a little repetitive. It’s already been done, what, two times now? I wish they had focused on the two leg issue more than try to add more problems. It feels like they were trying to write two different books at once. Despite all my criticism, it was a pretty decent book. I enjoyed the story and it had me hooked from the beginning. I was just hoping for something more original, though.
Graphic: Animal death, Death, Blood, Grief, and Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Animal cruelty, Child death, Violence, and Kidnapping
Minor: Adult/minor relationship, Bullying, and Death of parent
