At 147 pages this is more of a novella than a novel.

Even though its classed as a paranormal thriller it felt a mix of paranormal and horror.

Homecoming is the first book in the Finn McCoy series and overall not a bad book.

The story flows well and I found it quite fast paced.

I can't say it is one of the best paranormal thrillers that I have read but it is still an enjoyable read and I would certainly read more by the author.

This book is a paranormal but it has an unusual twist the fairy's/fey aren't nice they are downright mean and nasty and ugly and any other horrible adjective you can put in place.

From the first chapter I found so many unusual things to like. We have Finn who deals with all the paranormal things in this world. We have Amanda and while there is a little bit of romance between the two the story isn't about their love.

What it really is all about is... nope not telling you'll just have to read it to find out. What I will say is Finn is HATED with a capital H by the Fairies. And Finn's old hometown has a bit of a history and things are happening that he needs to check out... But that is ALL I AM SAYING!!!

Character creation was good with you getting a good feel for the characters and what was happening to their lives. The story itself as I said will keep you reading to find out what happens next.

All in all a pretty good book. I enjoyed it during this spooky season we call Halloween.
