This whole series is fantastic! The writing is so good, and the characters extremely endearing.

Cute novella! Cole's writing is good (as always) and there wasn't really a need to read the other books in this series if you're only interested in this one. Realistic, cute, and heart-breaking at times, this is really good lesbian representation!

The audio narration is amazing and the story is fine... I understand there's only so much that can be accomplished in a novella but the plot felt more rushed than needed. This might be because there's so much time given to flashbacks in such a quick story. The author is wonderful at building characters - even with ~160 pages, neither character was one-dimensional and I found myself rooting for and chiding both at different points throughout. Overall, a great read but not one I will probably return to

I really loved the characters in this book. I felt like the tension and the chemistry were just right. I like how it touched on other real world issues as well

This was a nice novella and it was nice to see the couple kiss and makeup.

If Alyssa Cole has no fans, I am de d. I mean, I'd read her grocery list if she'd let me. If you haven't read her Reluctant Royals series, you're missing out in a big way! This is a novella after book 2, but it works just fine as a stand-alone!
Second chance is not my thing because the reason for the break-up usually makes no sense or is ridiculous, but Likotsi and Fabiola's breakup and the reason for it hurt my heart. I loved seeing them bounce around the city on their reunion visiting little unique locales. It was so SWEET. The flashbacks were perfect peeks into their previous time together and I wanted to tie them together and scream " KISS EACH OTHER AND GET MARRIED ALREADY".

Likotsi is kind of snappy with Fab, but the way Fab ended their relationship?I'd have been mad and hurt too. I did wish we got a bit of a clearer epilogue for those that may not read the rest of the series (READ IT THO) and it would have been nice to get a little more into their original time together.

Short but sweet. Our heroines only intended to have a fling, but ended up falling in love. As usual, Alyssa Cole gives her characters charming characteristics and realistic flaws, making them relatable and easy to root for. This novella makes for a delicious romantic snack.

I borrowed this audiobook from my local library using the Libby app. I wasn't obligated in any way to review it.
