Dr Obscene. The head of OB at his hospital. His office manager hires a new nurse after his stint on a “docuseries” starts, and she’s the only one not trying to get in his pants and pockets! They’re a great team in the office and delivering babies. But the docuseries puts some trouble in the life.

I enjoyed this, by the end I didn’t quite like it as much, but overall it was an enjoyable read. I think my only problem with M.M’s books is how OTT it is on the comedy at times. It becomes unfunny at times, and I want a few more serious parts I guess? I liked Will for most of the book, I didn’t like the ‘misunderstanding’ at the end, I’ll be reading the next book, but I don’t think the story will stick in my head all that much. The tongue depressor stuff was cute though.

Ich kann die super Bewertungen, die dieses Buch bekommen hat, leider gar nicht nachvollziehen. In dieser Geschichte gibt es wirklich niemanden der nicht die ganze Zeit an Sex oder an Geschlechtsorgane denkt und/oder darüber spricht. Das ist einfach extrem merkwürdig gewesen, vor allem weil dies auch Eltern, Kollegen und Geschwister einbezog. Ich bin wirklich nicht prüde aber irgendwo ziehe ich dann doch eine Grenze und es kann einfach auch nicht sein, dass hier jede Person und jede Familie immer nur sexuelle Anspielungen macht egal wem gegenüber. Auch die beiden Hauptcharaktere denken eigentlich so gut wie die ganze Zeit an das eine und das der Protagonist auch noch Frauenarzt ist macht das ganze nicht einfacher. Lediglich zum Ende hin gab es auch mal ein paar normale Szenen und etwas mehr zwischenmenschliche Interaktion neben dem Austausch von Körperflüssigkeiten und dem Thematisieren dieser.
Ebenfalls sehr merkwürdig kamen vor allem unprofessionelle Szenen herüber, die das Arbeitsleben der Protagonisten betraf. Ich möchte hier nicht spoilern, aber es geschehen hier einfach Dinge, die kein professioneller Arzt bzw. keine Krankenschwester machen würde. Am schlimmsten war die Szene, wo die Protagonistin eine ganze Stunde dafür braucht eine Menstruationtasse einzusetzen und das während der Arbeitszeit und niemanden fällt ihr Fehlen auf. So eine Arbeit möchte ich gern haben. Naja, alles in allem war es nicht so schlecht, dass ich es abgebrochen habe, aber ehrlich gesagt, hatte ich auch immer gehofft es würde irgendwann noch mehr Handlung ins Spiel kommen. Band 2 wird definitiv nicht von mir gelesen und auch sonst werden ich um Max Monroe einen großen Bogen machen.
Die Hörbuchfassung an sich kann ich allerdings empfehlen. Die beiden Sprecher lesen das ganze gut verständlich vor.

What a great story.. Funny and full of love.. It was a fun story to read and I look forward to reading the other doctor stories.

Dr. Will (Georgia's bro) is having his life torn apart by a reality show that's been spliced together at his doctor office. Enter his new nurse, Melody. She hasn't seen the show and needs the job. The two hit it off and she fends off his patients with lascivious intent. Friendship and attraction begin in an insta-love story with humor, passion, & off course assumptions on Melody's part to destroy their relationship. Appearances by Wes, Kline, Thatch, Georgia, & Cassie (The story line with Cassie could've been left out of the book, why it was there was beyond me) Easy fun read with familiar characters fleshing out the story.

This is one memorable book.
Dr. OBscene was cute, hilarious and lovely.
This duo of authors know what they are doing. They make a reader laugh until they nearly wee on themselves. I just couldn't quit laughing...
Both MCs are awkward and adorable. The side characters a just as great. The authors managed to fit in so may characters and not only did they shine but they complemented the MCs so well. They made this story unforgettable.
And oh my goodness how I loved cranky Marlene. That old lady was ridiculously awesome in all her bitchy glory.
I cannot wait for another good laugh with Dr. ER...
