Utterly stupid. Lots of pointless chapters that rotate through too many viewpoints to develop any of the characters. The Queen is unlikable, and her chapters could be deleted without impacting the plot. Asinia's chapters were, like many chapters, wordy treatises about politics while the characters traveled and worried. The only real action came at the end, and it was too little, too late. I'm done with this series.

Fun, fast, easy fantasy romance read. While I don't feel this is spectacular or a standout read, they are fun, and I enjoy the time I spend reading them.

If you are this far into the series you already know Stacia is gonna keep on your toes in best way possible. We get to see Prisca and Lorain fall more in love, get to see some of our side characters perspective and see Prisca become even more badass.

If this is the first book you come across go back and start from the beginning. You won't regret it. I am so glad I got to be part of her ARC group because I couldn't wait to continue this series.
