I read this book as a child in 4th or 6th grade, but a trunkated version. I wanted to see how I felt about it as an adult. It still resonates with me very deeply and I sobbed reading the final page. So beautiful, but so deeply heart breaking.

I understand that these were in the perspective of the main character but I wished there was more plot. I wish it was told with a mixture of first and third person. It became predictable in the end.
