“Hey Jude, don't let me down.
You have found her, now go and get her.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.“

I am hooked. This series is good. I can’t stop thinking about it. The main character is trying so hard in a world that hates her existence. Something about it is so addictive. Can’t wait to read #3.

The second book in the trilogy, amazing and even better than the cruel prince. There was more tension between Jude and Cardan and the book made me fear in a way. Literally SO MANY MIXED FEELINGS. I hated then loved then hated again but loved Cardan.

SPOILERS!!

I was so scared for Jude when she was trapped in the undersea. When Cardan sent Jude into exile my jaw DROPPED, and like- TARYN?!? WHAT WHYY. Absolutely recommended

Ok, so this is legit terrible.
I gave the first one benefit of doubt. It introduced the characters, the world, the writing was decent, so i was hopeful.
Cue in book 2 - The Adventures of Mary Sue.
This was a total waste of time.
There was zero character development, zero world building, zero clever plot twists.
Somehow we end up five months after the first book ends, conveniently letting the author off the hook with actual explanation how things progressed where we find them.
Mmkay...
Maybe we will see how Jude became so much better at in er politics of the court?
Yeah, no, tough luck.
All we have is Jude repeatedly saying how she spent days and days and months and months plotting _something_ only to keep getting in the most stupid situations possible.
Cardan? Dont get me started.

This series is a very solid DNF for me and i am not even interested to see what ends up happening in the third book
