Jessica “Jess” Lockhart is willing to help her neighbor. Maximillian “Max” Reinquist is a man who’s rough around the edges and you can almost feel the testosterone in the air. He’s a man who has no problem getting what he wants. Max already has a special little lady in his life but it’s nice to see that he has room for one more.

One thing you have to figure out on your own is if Max is a good guy or if he walks a little bit on the wild side. He’s former military and who doesn’t love an ex-military alpha male. Which just adds to his idea that he needs to protect the women in his life. The author creates some hot and steamy scenes but she’s good about not letting the mystery that surrounds Max overtake the rest of the story. There seems to be great flow from one scene to the next.

The only thing I can tell you is to be prepared to be surprised. Just when you think the story should be wrapping up, Ms. Kincaid puts in some suspense that only Max can take care of. The story also shows how stupid some men can be where women are concerned. Their story can be read as a stand-alone but it left me wanting to know what Jessica’s sister’s story is all about. If you want the same thing than you will want to check out Heart Breaker. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this isn’t the end of this series but if it is, I’m sure that I won’t have trouble trying to keep busy until her next book comes out.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

This authors description of Max brought him to life in my mind. This is book 3 in the Break on Through series and features that uber sexy Viking biker god, Max Reinquist, teacher, Jessica Lockhart and the spunkiest, most adorable and super smart 10-year-old little girl, Piper Reinquist. Max turned out to be so much more than I thought he was. I admire the way he's raising Piper as she's turning out to be quite well rounded. The attraction between Max and Jessica is smokin' HOT and I might just go back and read this delicious book one more time.

Great story line with well-developed characters that brought the story to life. For a minute Jessica was a little wishy-washy. Is she going to be the slightly empty headed damsel that runs away crying at the first sign of trouble or she going to be the smart woman that can stand by her man...and his little girl?

This story was awesome! I think I'm a little in lust with Max. Since this is my first book by Harper Kincaid, I need to go back and read the first two in this series.
