1st book in The Manning Sisters series, it is an introduction Elisabeth Manning. The eldest daughter to the one of the biggest Mafia families. When she finds out that her fiancée was only marrying her for her family she realises that she could do so much better and breaks the engagement off. This action puts her and her family in danger and after her parents are murdered she has to rely on her head of security Dakota Jackson.
There is action in this book from page one makes this a page turner, I couldn’t put it down making it a fast read. The love story element between Dakota and Elisabeth was well written, yes they are sex scenes in it and they are quite raunchy but this only adds to the story’s drama. The author has created not one but two strong female characters. Elisabeth and Rachel have both been brought to stand up for themselves and this is shown more when they go into hiding. The fight seen between Elisabeth and Kiwi Nadas was so intense and the way it ended was genius.
Ending on a major cliffhanger, I hope I don’t have to wait too long to find out what happens to the Manning sisters. Be warned this book will keep you awake as you will not want to go to sleep until you find out who and why they are behind the deaths. A great story and although my first book I have read from this author it will not be the last.
