I did not read the first book in this series. This is a different way of telling the Wizard of OZ story but mermaids are in it. This was weird for me. I was confused but I love mermaids so I want to give this book a chance. I don't think this is a series I will continue. * I received this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*

THE REVIEW
Why this book?
I really liked the first book in the series
What I thought
I didn't like this book as much as I liked the first. Zerie as a mermaid was boring and the only interesting parts was Brink in the dungeon. I also didn't like how Zerie was attracted to that merman im a die hard Brink/Zerie shipper. Overall it was an ok read.
