A good book overall for a dog lover and probably a higher rating for dog rescue advocates and pit bull afficionados. Foster provides a genuine accounting of his development into a dog rescuer and multiple dog owner.

3.5 stars. This was a quick read that was sweet at some times, and sad at others. Ken Foster selflessly spent much of his life helping the homeless dogs he encountered. And many of these dogs were really something special. But it just made me sad thinking of how many dogs there are out there needing a home, and how few people there are like Ken who are willing and able to help them.

A book about a dude that just seems to find stray dogs wherever he goes. An enjoyable read if you're a dog person. Maybe even if you're a cat person. He rescues a lot of random dogs.

Nothing special. Abby really wanted me to read it to her. It took us along time, as it never really ever got exciting.

I really enjoyed the anecdotes in the book, but would have liked some sort of more cohesive storyline somehow. And I felt like the book just ended without warning and without any sort of accounting of how things ended.

A fantastic and heart-warming ready for any dog lover (or not).
