“You are home. I’ll always want this. I could have you every day for the rest of my life and never get enough of you.”

This follows Mia who has been looking after her mum since she is sick. She hasn’t seen her best friend Tessa in a while so she decides to spend the summer with Tessa as long as her stupid brother who caused her so much hurt when they were kids isn’t around. When arriving she ends up going to a bar and spending a night with a stranger that will change everything she thought she knew.

This was such a fun and spicy novel that touches the feels as well. Ben (26) picked on and bullied Mia (23) when they were younger but it’s been a long time and they have not seen each other for 9 years. It’s about falling for the man you shouldn’t but discovering who he is now. They have great spicy chemistry and I was shocked at how much spice was in this small-town romance it was delicious. Tessa is funny and best friend material to Mia for sure. Also, Ben’s son Nolan (3) is so cute. This made me laugh and feel. An enjoyable read I recommend.

Excited to see Tessa’s story next in the Alabama Summer Series.

So. This story was instalove. To me at least. I think the story had potential to be better.
It felt rushed, really fast paced.
The FMC. Geez. She got me annoyed with some nonsensical, immature logic. Not to mention her BFF Tessa, who also did some dumbass shit.
The dudes in this book seemed cool. Though the way Ben fell in love in one night was like…I don’t know, that’s why it’s instalove to me.
The book isn’t a 5 star for me. But I also didn’t DNF it, so it was enough to keep me engaged.

This is a very surface level romance. The characters don’t have much depth and plot lines seem like an afterthought.

Tropes: best friends brother and enemies to lovers (sorta)
This is one of those books that I would normally give four stars due to the fact that there's a few things I disliked about this but I just can't give it anything less than five stars because I just loved it so much!
It was so cute and addicting! I loved the romance between Ben and Mia though it did feel kinda instalovie and I don't like how fast Mia forgave Ben for how he treated her in the past. I feel like this story should have been a little longer for the story J. Daniels was trying to tell. Ben had treated Mia horribly in the past and I feel like the book needed to be longer to properly deal with these feelings and problems Ben caused Mia in the past.
I found this book to not be as cringy as J. Daniel's other series Sweet Addiction and I enjoyed the writing alot more in this book. I loved the relationship between Ben and his son Nolan, I thought it was extremely cute and made me love Ben all that more. Going with that I loved seeing Mia and Nolan connect and their relationship that grew between them.
One of my biggest problems with this book was how Tessa talked about her brother in such a sexual way. Tessa had wanted to know everything about Mia and Ben's (WHO'S HER BROTHER!) sex life. She even asked how big his penis is and if he was any good. The whole thing just made me feel really weird.
I really enjoyed this book, it is one of my favorites that I have read by her! I really enjoyed the snippets we saw of Tessa and Luke and I can't wait to read their book and see their relationship grow.
