Me encantan los Blackthorn y adoraba a Emma hasta que hizo algo justo al final del libro que la hizo caer de mi gracia

4/5 stars ⭐️
I wanted to give this book 5/5 stars because it’s from the shadowhunter chronicles one of my ultime series (what am I saying, my ultimate series after Harry Potter) buuuuut I don’t know Lady Midnight didn’t had the impact I thought it would have on me. I loved the setting, the beach was such a great setting for this book (+ I read it on the beach so perfect match).

I think it didn’t worked as planned because from the beginning (City of heavenly fire), when we met Em and Julian I didn’t love them as Clary and Jace, I was so disappointed not to read about Clary’s adventures and her friends, I know they were mentioned but it was not the same...
=> even though I wasn’t bothered by the characters not being Clary and Jace & co when I read The infernal devices IDK why maybe because it was set before + other country ?

Still I loved the plot, the information about the shadowworld were so good it was so good to get back into this world.

*spoilers*
I also loved the impossible romance between the two parabatai I can’t wait to know how they are going to deal with it in Lord of shadows

*end of spoilers*

Great book! I'm worried about the second one, though. I have a feeling it's going to be infinitely frustrating.

Definitely not my favorite of the universe. It was hard for me to get invested and concentrate on the characters, and i was confused. But by the end, i did enjoy it more than i thought i would.
Reread is in my future.
