3.5 Stars, for the sheer amount of motivation this book gives towards being creative if you struggle with believing in your talents, or feel a sense of “imposter syndrome”. We are our own biggest critics, and we are inspired by those whose creative works we admire, but we each all have our own capacity for creativity and our own unique, personal, style.

There are only 10 chapters or bits of advice, it's a very short book, and it's got decent advice about being a creative, like be boring it's the only way to get work done, and be nice, it'll get you more work etc.

While it's advice worth hearing, I enjoyed it more for reading about the author's own journey. It's a great recommendation for creative people who are between projects.

Read this for my art class and I’m really glad I did. I’m leaving it thinking differently than I did before and with newfound motivation to push forward and get on top of my art planning.
