This is a creative and addictive take on Greek mythology that I enjoyed a lot. However, I didn't like how the art style sexualized the main female character so much. Additionally, while I appreciate there were trigger warnings attached to the comic, it was not pleasant to read a graphic storyline about sexual assault. Please be aware of this content as well as sexual themes, innuendos, and so on before you read. It's definitely not the fluffy read that it's been advertised as around the internet.

tw: mention of rape
1.5 stars- the story was an all together catastrophe; so much going on with so little direction. It feels as though it is purposely being drawn out, not in a delicate masterful way, leaving me to want more, but a mundane, mess of a pull, dragging out unnecessary bits and pieces until they are spread so thin all essence/ identity has been lost. The overall story is drowned in uninteresting subplots that offer nothing, not even a morsel of entertainment. It's becoming the Grey's Anatomy - or any poorly written tv drama of your choice -of webtoon. It feels like the author is trying to cling to the series instead of letting it end naturally. I can't even focus on the whole point of the series- hades and Persephone's relationship- because every five seconds I have to read about some other great family drama. The only useful subplot with Apollo *thumbs down* , seems like an attempt to bring Persephone closer to Hades which made me as a reader pretty uncomfortable (it wasn't handled sensitively). Out of all the plot devices to be used, she had to use that one. Then there's the whole modernization of Olympus, but not on earth I guess? Anyways last time I checked in today's day and age, incest isn't very cash money. But it's ok because they're so cute together uwuwuwuu. Then there's the age gap which also is pretty weird. Not to mention the whole hades being her boss thing last I checked this wasn't a soccer mom CEO romance ( honestly best plot twist in the series yet, good job Rachel ) So Persphone and her Double Uncle Sugar Daddy Boss-Man have a pretty interesting situation going on. Then there's the whole concept of her being so cute and innocent and omg he's not plus omg he has a tragic backstory and I just don't like stuff like that it's always so creepy especially in this case with the age gap, so the dynamic doesn't redeem the situation. Hades interest in her is also weird just everything that has to do with this couple makes me uncomfortable. like he falls for her because shes so pretty uwu, then continues to pursue her despite having a girlfriend sure his girlfriend sucks but that's no excuse to cheat, he also kinda sucks it takes two to tango anyways. Plus I'm just not the biggest fan of the art style (its inconsistent, the panels are poorly planed, everyone looks the same and wouldn't be identifiable in greyscale etc) but thats not what I'm here to criticize.
tldr: the story is overwhelming (way too long , too many subplots, the actual relationship seems to be thrown to the back of the bus ), their relationship isn't very interesting either, not something i was passionately advocating for

I’ve finished the first season in a few hours and I loved it. Some scenes were a bit disturbing and I almost cried, but I loved the story!
