a very detailed, compelling look at this very short, miraculous flight.

I usually read books about aviation from the industry’s or outsider’s point of view, so this is a refreshing and emotional account from the passengers that I thoroughly enjoyed - though maybe enjoyed is not the right word for how traumatic the accident was, despite there being no deaths. I definitely recommend this to anyone with any interest at all in what happened that day on the Hudson, from inside out. I pretty much finished the entire book in one sitting.

This was a good book overall, but not a good book for me. It shared the stories from a good portion of the passengers on flight 1549 and I had trouble keeping track of who everyone was. I am a very detail oriented person and that didn't really help during this read. At one point, I was tempted to start the book over and keep a notepad with me so I could write down all their names and a little about them so I knew who was who when they were sharing their stories since it goes by point in time rather than each story individually.

Overall though, it was a great book.
