A short to takes us back to the Disillusionists. Sophia was a horrid highcap and we all wanted to shoot her at one point. I remember that from the trilogy. In this we discover how she got there and the deception that ultimately had her running from herself. I really actually liked this a lot but not sure if I could ever trust Sophia even as Robert forgives. Robert is great but I don't really understand why he cannot change the rock in the end, just make it a different form? Why does it have to be giant for him to change it? Didn't he make gargoyles? That just didn't make sense to me but in the end it didn't matter. A great little romance to get you back into the Disillusionists. One more novella to complete the series.
