This book was a really good addition to this series. I love all of the background we're still getting while still moving the plot forward and introducing new characters. There were definitely more sweet moments between Iris and Dean , and while there were a lot of moments that had my heart pounding, it's obviously hard to follow up what happen in Vol 2. Overall, this was an amazing book that I didn't want to put down (once I got back into reading it again).

So... am I surprised that Yuri turned out to be a White Lotus after all? No, not surprised; they did a decent job of foreshadowing it last volume. I am disappointed, though. I like the "reincarnated as the villainess" stories, I do, but my favorites are absolutely the ones where the original female lead does NOT turn out to have been secretly evil the whole time.
On a better note, I am really glad that they are not going the route of "Yuri's former reverse harem falls in love with Iris". For one thing, one of the members was Iris's brother, so that would have been weird. For another, it's refreshing. They had their reasons for not liking her before, and even though that was partially motivated by Yuri's manipulations, it's still their own prejudice and their own way of thinking, and there's no magical switch flipped after a new consciousness entered the body.
(There was a tiny bit of a switch in Alfred Dean, when we're told that he knew Iris at the academy and wasn't impressed, but the reveal that they had spoken before her engagement and the implication that he liked her even then helps to smooth that out. The only thing that worries me about that plotline is that she just declared her love for him - to herself - but she doesn't know who he is, because he's hiding it from her. He has his reasons, but it's going to be such a mess when the truth comes out.)
