This is a children's book about a platypus who is trying to find friends to play with. He spends all day around all types of other animals to find the right people to play with. I think this book is so adorable! It has a great message for children. It was also a quick and easy read. It would be a perfect bedtime read! I didn't have any problems with this book. It was cute. I read it to my puppies and they seemed to be interested. Hard to tell when they don't talk! Either way, I fully recommend it for children! It will be a great book for them to read for themselves or to be read to them.

Our family loved this book and not just because of an abiding appreciation for platypi (Platypuses? Platypus? ...whatever, you know what I mean!)

The little platypus is eager to play and make friends but it doesn't quite know which fun activity to join in with. The jumping kangaroos? All the different speed racing events? How is a platypus to find the right activity for a fun afternoon?!

It tries them all, of course! And when it fails, it gets up and says "well, that didn't work out. Let's try another thing" and keeps on trying until it finds the right fit. It's a good lesson for little kids, dressed in a fun rhyming scheme that will be easy to read aloud for young readers and older caretakers alike. The illustrations are bold enough to keep young listeners interested and still detailed enough that they won't seem too simple to older readers.

I loved this book and can't wait to add a copy to my son's collection.
