This was a great read and as we finished it up today the children were disappointed it was over. They really enjoyed the style of the book and enjoyed the stopping points mid chapter to "tell the folks at home all about it." I think we might even give it another read later and go more in depth with additional books. We did some supplemental reading but not a whole lot this time around. It was very complete as a stand alone for this 1st and 2nd grade level.
