I really enjoyed this book. It's witchy, it's magical, it's got family and love. It's got growth and I found the story got better as it went along. There is a TINY bit of spice towards the end so if you're looking for a spicy witch book this is not it but there's sexual tension throughout.

This book is a masterpiece. The world building was so intriguing, the characters were so well developed, and the story itself was captivating.

I listened to this on audio and Grimm’s voice is smooth like melted butter so I highly recommend - though I do want to go back and read it with my eyeballs now because I feel like I missed some things via the audio. I truly cannot wait for WotW and know this will end up being one of my favorite series ever.

4.5⭐️ Cozy witchy vibes with spells & interesting magic system. Slowburn romance and have little bit of spice. Plot was engaging but can be a bit slow for some people. I don’t mind it though, I finished this book in one day.

The characters and I cannot wait to see where this story goes. Hoping for a little more spice in the next one !

While I understand that the entire story will be finished across all 4 books, I think it took away from the development of these 2 characters, Agatha and Grimm. I don’t really see any development between them so maybe they will continue to develop in the next few books but what was the point if this book was focused on these 2 characters. It just felt like there wasn’t progress in the story so the characters weren’t pushed hard enough to fully develop.

Four witches that represent the seasons are influences behind every major event in history. Autumn embarks on her quest that leads her to question their traditions.

There are major cozy vibes which is so fun. The story and writing is good, but feels clunky at times.

A lot of the description is hyper focused on these cozy details but then I feel like it skips the most important parts where you see character growth and change happening. Instead you’re just told that it’s happened, but it doesn’t quiet feel believable.

This is a good book and probably great for people who love spooky fall vibes.

I will say I went into this thinking it's a romance but it's honestly so secondary to the political movements and development that I kinda forgot it was. It's also a fade to black for the most part so if that's not your jim jam understandable.

Otherwise it was fun!

Although this has taken me a long time to finish, that was rather because I didn’t want to rush it whilst in a reading slump.
The writing is refreshing and the plot beautifully written. While I have read many books already and it cannot be avoided that some things repeat themselves, I loved that I wasn’t able to tell all the plot twist from the beginning and that the author gave us as little information as possible.
The romance was lacking a little bit for my taste and they went from enemies to more in a blink of an eye and I would’ve wished for more tension while in the enemies to lovers stage instead of “okay, I’ll just accept that we need to work together and I find you attractive anyways” from one page to the other.
