This was fine and I would recommend it but I didn't love it. I didn't particularly like Jess at the beginning - I felt like she was unnecessarily rude to River on several occasions. I never felt like there was much chemistry between the two of them and the conflict at the end didn't ring true. I can't quite put my finger on why though - maybe because she should have made more of an effort instead of it all being on River? But at least the conflict felt more organic than some of their books where I feel like it comes completely out of left field.
