What a mess! And the sisters thing is so not well written at all.

Genuinely enjoyed this one. I love a good angsty arranged marriage. There are several things that stop this from being a full 4 stars. One, I don't like pitting women against each other, especially if it involves sisters. I know this is a reality for many people, but sibling relationships are very special to me and I don't like seeing terrible family dynamics.

One of the things that I wrote in my annotations was: "Grow some balls, Ares."

His indecision was frankly frustrating, and while I liked the angst that it brought, it got extremely annoying and he started pissing me off. His groveling was definitely something, but I hate grand public displays, so I didn't like it.

Things I did like:
- Third Act Break Up: I'm quite ambivalent to third act break ups. They don't annoy me, but I do roll my eyes every once in a while. I liked it in this one though.
- The Smut: Enough said.
- Raven and Sierra (and Alanna): I love women!

Things I didn't like:
- Hannah : An okay antagonist. I found her a little annoying, which I guess is the point? Again, I don't like pitting sisters against each other.
- Character Depth : There definitely was an attempt. Hannah's past sickness and how it affected her and her family, Raven's struggle with food and overworking herself, and Ares's overall one-dimensional character. So many characters have the potential to be greater than they were. I wish there was more focus on developing that.

This was a good read, cute even. I just couldn’t get into how the mmc kept doubling back to the fmc’s sister. This story was honestly twisted. Raven deserved better but I’m just happy she ended up growing a pair and getting her happily ever after. I don’t think it’s a story , I’ll read again and won’t read the second book either. Again cute and nice read, just slightly not for me.
