What I liked: This is a very unique story, and I think the world needs to know more Jack Frost retellings. He’s one of my favorite fictional characters! I liked the different POVs that popped up throughout the book (although I realize that may not be a popular opinion XP), and there were a whole lot of twists and turns that kept me on my toes! All of the different fantasy creatures were fun to learn about, too! (And the SHIPS…*fangirls*)

What I didn’t like: The characters seemed pretty stereotypical (although I think Frost was pretty well done). Some of the writing was a bit bland and not very engaging,
Spoiler and I would have liked a deeper relationship between Frost and Norah.
And I think it was strange how God was kind of thrown in there, and wasn’t a main theme in the story. As a matter of fact, I had trouble finding what the main theme was. It was one of those books that you’d read just for the excitement and pleasure. :)

Overall, a pleasurable urban fantasy/romance read that I would recommend to anyone over the age of 12. (Due to CWs such as: child abuse, drinking, battle scenes, and mention of death and demons.)

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

It's safe to say that I'm a fan of E.E. Rawls. I've read and liked two of her other books (Beast of the Night and Portal to Eartha).

I love snow and winter, so the overall concept was appealing to me. I liked Norah and Frost. I'm glad everything worked out nicely in the end. It's hard to get wordy with books I like (so here's some shiny stars).

I still have to read everything else by E.E. Rawls (eventually).

Time for some sordid details from my past: I used to read Rise of the Guardians fanfics as a 12-year-old. I’ve since grown out of that, but I still have a soft spot for Jack Frost stories.

The romance isn’t quite as developed as what I’d like to see, and some plot elements get resolved rather easily. But honestly? This is still a fun story and I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a light-hearted winter read.
