"The upside is, I don't have to spend the next two weeks alone anymore. The downside is, I'll have to become Sookie from True Blood in order to keep the company."

This was a super cute and spicy novella! I really enjoyed getting to know Rorian and Everly. After walking in on his fiance' banging his best man on their wedding day, Everly decides to embark on his honeymoon for one. If he's going to be nursing a broken heart, he may as well do it in paradise. He planned to spend his time moping around, he certainly did NOT plan on a sexy hunk of a demon straight out of a romance novel to pop up through the floorboards. I have to give props to Everly. If this happened to me I think my ass would be out of that house as if it were on fire. I mean, I love myself some paranormal romance, but there's also a chance that demon popping up is there for something much more nefarious than sweeping you off your feet. Just sayin'.

I'm glad this book was dual POV. I loved Everly's witty thoughts, while I also loved Rorian's strange innocence. It was sweet how once Rorian realized that Everly was his true fated mate that he was so sure Everly would be his. After what he'd endured, he still trusted that fate gave him exactly who he needed. Obviously Everly was a bit more wary, but it was hard for him to be when Rorian was so lovely.

The spice in this one was hot! Gotta love some demon tail play. And horns! I'm also looking forward to getting the story of Rorian's brother. After finishing this book it looks like he has his own story to tell and I'll definitely be reading it.

Rorian thinks he’s found his mate in Albert so he faces his father and tells him he’s staying on earth but things don’t go quite as he planned . Fast forward 29 years and Everly has come to the villa alone to escape what he doesn’t expect is for the voice from below the bump in the kitchen floor he has to be seeing and hearing things , right.

Review:
I was very curious about the premise of this story, but I felt like we spent a lot of time on the beginning of their relationship and the tenseness between belief and disbelief, on both of their parts, and then we kind of just rushed through their relationship and plot from that point onwards. I really liked their dynamic, and how the way they treated each other was in direct contrast to how they had been treated by those they'd loved in the past, plus the tail and blood play was great fun, as well as the not-so-human tongue and peen shapes, but I just wanted a bit more time and care put into the story. But I do love these two, and I love the giant human who is a bottom and the small kind demon who is a top, it is a great dynamic 👌
