This is more about the movements that have happened and not abolition/abolition feminism basics like I was expecting. Might try again later once I get the basics down.

This book is kind of boring or just not want I want to be reading right now. I think I might come back to it at a later time.
This book spends most of its time in a theoretical space and it seems to mostly be covering things I already know. It is a very introductory book explaining why feminism and abolition intersect and need to go together which is something I feel like I already agree with and understand at least on the basic level that this book covers it.
Also the writing is very wordy and I just keep zoning out but also not missing much because I feel like there isn’t much to miss.

Very informative and historically educational. I think I was hoping for something more from the text but it says itself:

"Despite what some might wish - including us, on some days - there is no finish line, no firm resolute end. And yet it is hard not to read this and want concrete steps, checklists. Some guarantees. A road map."

Still a worthwhile read but a little bit of a letdown for me ultimately.

An excellent book that describes perfectly how feminism and abolition are intrinsically tied to one another; they cannot be separated.

The state, prisons and the cops (frequently together) perpetuate patriarchal violence, so they cannot be the answer to patriarchal violence, because they perpetuate it.

Great read. Go give it a look!
