didn’t agree with most of the ideas and it goes off topic often. however, it made me think which is very good.

I didn’t realize it was a Christian based book and while I can listen to a book where faith and the belief of God plays a factor, it was already becoming too preachy. Also, her views on abortion and gender identity seem very closed off and a direct opposition to my own. If there was a middle ground I maybe could have continued with it.

She’s honest. And people hating on the book just can’t handle it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Very encouraging and helpful in showing what really matters in life and what we should be prioritizing - not ourselves!

I liked this book more than expected. ABS can be abrasive and bit much for me on social media but most of that is stripped away in her book. She presents many good arguments on why we cannot be both the cause and solution to our “self-love” issues. Her arguments are founded in our need for and the all-sufficiency of Christ. There are some great reminders for Christian women here.

Overall the book is a little repetitive and the last chapter was soap-boxy. It felt like the author was trying to “get the last word” and cram all of her opinions about some smaller issues in before the book ended.

What an excellent summary of the hollow lies cultures sells us on regarding our own self-worth! She speaks straight to the point about the importance of our identity in Christ and how nothing else will fill the hole in each and every one of us. Well written, succinct, not preachy, and definitely a refreshing read in the midst of a wave of shallow self-help books and ideology.

While the author may try not to be preachy, she is every now and again. It's a book that reminds us of the importance of sound Biblical truth and so. When it comes to employment, it seems like at times she goes on one side and other times on the other, it makes it confusing to know on which way she stands. Just before the end of the book, she comes even more strong in her beliefs, just be prepared for that. Overall, a pretty good book.
