I think this is a 3.5 star book. I liked the main character, and LOVED the concept that we all have something weird about us (our own personal birds on our heads). This felt very real and also light at the same time. I did have questions after, mostly related to how the dog behaved in the sling :) The ending felt like a great way to end a book. Maybe this was 3.75 stars rather than 3.5. The more I think about it, the more I like it.
