This book is bizarre and intriguing, but I'm not sure it needs to be this long.... I never would have finished it if I'd read it versus listening to it.

He did a good job making the first half really scary and interesting. The last half was just a chore to read and got too religious. By the end of it I felt like I had read two different books.

Started out so good! Reminded me of Stephen King’s way of developing detailed characters and stories. But once the event ramp up for the climax it just went on and on and on. I got bored. Do not recommend. Learn to edit.

Too fantasy for my liking. And book so long I didn't want to invest that much time into seeing if it would get better.

This was pretty much just a Stephen King knockoff book. About 200 pages of this book were probably unnecessary and the author could have ended it much sooner. Very, very well written, but it dragged on horribly.
