Anything Adrian related in this book I loved, everything else was kinda take it or leave it for me.

There was a lot of area's that were so detail heavy that I had to skim to get through it and there was SO much going on (too much to keep me interested I was just getting annoyed)between Marcus and The Alchemists and the witches and Jill and the gang but yet not enough to really care about any of it.

So I guess I will continue the series on but just won't rush out to buy it.

The start of this book again had me thinking about what the hell was going on, but I quickly figured it out. However it is really a good book.

In this book, we see the aftermath of Sydney and Adrian's kiss at the end of the last book. At the same time, Ms. Terwilliger is on a mission to find a dangerous witch who takes other witch powers.
In the book, we also get Sonya’s wedding to
Mikhail. Under the weeding, Sydney and Adrian start their search for Marcus Finch.

We follow how Adrian and Sydney try to figure out how to act and feel about each other.

The story was really good, and I enjoyed seeing Sydney and Adrian's relationship evolve from the last book and to the end of this book. I am really excited to see what happens next.

I love love Sydney and Adrian together but this was a drag to me. And I felt like there was too much going on.

The best of the series so far! I can't wait for the next book. And I think I'm going to name my car after that swoon-worthy, green-eyed vampire hottie <3 <3 <3. The climax about the truth about Veronica made my heart beat so fast for a little while... And those romance scenes between Sydney and Adrian makes me so jealous! I want my Adrian Ivashkov too! :(

Sydney's character grew in this book. I feel like she's a whole different character now, smarter and more daring than ever. Her choices are very unpredictable, gosh, it makes me want to bang my head to my desk every time Sydney is trying to decide about something, especially those related to Adrian.

Adrian, too, becomes more mature, and not because of his bad drinking and smoking habits, but also because of his choices. I know that Adrian has been a risk-taker, way back when he was still in love with Rose, but in this book, Adrian seems smarter in his decisions too. In Vampire Academy, Adrian is more helpless and weak, while in this book, he is the hero. I used to see his spirit power as useless (well his healing abilities is not useless, but it still makes him crazy so it has its consequences), but in this book, it seems awesome, especially when Adrian protects Sydney from Veronica by "controlling" her dreams.

The plot seems more fast-paced and lively than the two previous books too. Sydney's character is less energetic than Rose's so the first two books were kinda boring for me. I first thought that this book will be any better, but I was wrong. The story is more or less about how Sydney found Marcus and found out about Marcus' group who all had left the Alchemists. They wanted to convince Sydney into joining them by sealing her tattoo that has been controlling her. Meanwhile, Sydney and Adrian's relationship got steamier... Muahahahahah. It was overall a great read and I would recommend the series to everyone. :)
