I finished watching Love in the Air a few weeks ago. I loved it for what it is. Creepy, messy, and cringey AF. All the major plot point scenes were included, and some of the little shorts at the end of the book were added in just before ending credits.

I finished Love Storm (the first 7 and half episodes of Love in the Air), and it was a ride. I loved this book for it is. Absolutely absurd, creepy, cringey, toxic, and messy. MAME piles on the toxic behavior, and then doubles down on it. The absurdness of this, she provides the characters just a enough self awareness to see their behavior. Does the self awareness stop them? NOPE, not at all.

The grooming is much more on the nose, along with the  manipulation of Rain in the book. There's also the bullying from Phayu. His brother, Saifa does step in when he sees it getting too out of hand in both the book and the show.

Rain is plenty book smart, but everything else leaves you wondering if he'd remember to breathe.  He not only digs his own graves, he jumps in.  Phayu is a bully, a manipulator, a predator.  Even with these very very toxic qualities, he ends up with his nose wide open to a man who is not relationship savvy AT ALL.

The interesting thing is that every time Rain gets played, he reacts in a "I've been played" manner, then proceeds to get played AGAIN. As the story moves a long, Rain starts manipulating Phayu, and he doesn't see it until it's too late. Which, if I'm being honest, Rained picked up the skill from him, and deserves it.

My favorite character.….Sky. He has all the potential to be scary in his own right.
