Another Expanse story read. I’m having such a fun time with this series. I think part of the problem I had with this one is that I didn’t realize whose story I was reading until the last handful of pages. That’s completely on me. I went into it without reading the synopsis first. Whoops. I even already knew a lot about this character’s past before reading this novella. I’m ashamed. But, like a lot of people say regarding the Expanse, this is just futuristic fiction/science fiction the way it should be done. The science aspect checks out--as far as I know--and the characters are well fleshed out and even if you don’t like them you do enjoy reading their stories. I also found that I loved the writing style for this one. There were some amazing word choices and sentences structures that had me nerding out at times.

At this point I’ve finished 7 works from this series (three books and four novellas) and I’m excited to read the next one in April. With the speed I’m getting through this series, I’m thinking I might get caught up with (or finish?) it by the end of the year.
