I liked this volume a bit more than the last, perhaps because of the varying locale and stories. There was a certain energy built up from story to story that way.

I like that you got to see more of her past. This was one of the better parts in this series :)

This just keeps getting better and better. That or I just like the stories set further in the past better than the noir style of writing of some of the earlier volumes. We learn a lot more of Josephine and perhaps a different woman from a slightly earlier time. But we never do really find out what's going on - though it definitely has more of a cthulhuian feel to it. Better than typical art but kind of expected for an Image book. Better than typical writing. Looking forward to the next book.

This volume has a bunch of short stories about other "fatales," but it also had a few shorts about Josephine's past. I liked it because it was non-linear, but I'm also left wondering what's going on in the main storyline.

But seriously, why did they find it necessary to take the strong Femme Fatale character and make her a victim? Meh. I am enjoying the series, but that bugs me.
