I think the author did a great job packing a lot of story into this novella. My only real issue was the ending. It was so abrupt I thought there was an error with my kindle. I would have loved to get an epilogue to find out how they managed their relationship in the future.

3.5☆

This was a good, enjoyable, quick, easy novella. That had a couple of hot moments and two likable characters. I personally just didn't really connect with them or the story as a whole. Which is why I only gave it 3.5☆ However I'm sure fans of the author will enjoy this novella.

I really enjoyed Sweet Cheeks and looked forward to reading about Ryder. I did enjoy reading about Harper and Ryder, however since this was a novella it didn't go as in depth as I was hoping for. The characters were spot on and I wouldn't mind reading more about them in the future.

Note, I did request and received an advanced copy of this book for purposes of this review.

This story was cute, short, and fun! I really liked these two! They were fire from the second they reconnected!

The teasing and torture they put each other through was fantastic!

Narrators Andi Ardnt and Sebastian York play well off each other as always

Sweet Rivalry is a VERY sexy second chance romance, which are my absolute favorite. Harper is a strong, independent woman who won a debate against Ryder years ago in graduate school. Their love/hate relationship ended in a kiss and Harper disappearing for over ten years. Now they are reunited and Ryder, a dirty talking, wearing a suit like it’s nobody’s business, tatted up, beard sporting sexy man is Harper’s kryptonite. Will they be able to rekindle their love/hate relationship while bidding on the same project? This is one hell of a sexy novella by K. Bromberg! A must read!!

This is a short, steamy, enemies to lovers romance with a hint of a second chance romance. I usually really like these stories but unfortunately, this one fell short for me. I loved Sweet Cheeks and was excited to see a novella set in the same world. I enjoyed it but at the same time, I wanted and expected more.

Ryder Rodgers (the brother of Saylor in Sweet Cheeks) and Harper Denton have a complicated but competitive history. One that ended abruptly 13 years ago. Now, walking into the same board room, the competition is about to be renewed. Ryder has always had a way of putting Harper on edge and pushing every button perfectly.

I enjoyed the plot line and the idea of competitors in the business world coming to a head and having a romantic explosion. However, I was underwhelmed with this story. I would have liked to see a little more push and pull, and a little more actual battling between the two. There is a large focus on how they battled each other in college but then there wasn’t much shown in the boardroom. K. Bromberg does an amazing job at creating strong connection between her characters. This causes the sexual tension to be strong!

Who will win? Grab this novella and give it a chance!

Grateful to have received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Few of My Favorite Quotes
“A princess may not need to be saved, but she sure as shit needs to take a ride on that unicorn she’s found every once in a while.”

“But I don’t look up—can’t—instead I stare back down to the Starbucks cup with my misspelled name on it and hope he doesn’t say a single word so I can hold tight to what dignity I have left.”

I just listened to Sweet Rivalry. Holy Hotness!!! 2 hrs of FUN!!! I want more of Ryder and Harper! I love her Driven series. This one is a 1001 dark nights novella which is on the audible Romance package. Good thing I was driving home when the chemistry burned hot and NOT at work.!! Whew!

A short but entertaining read! I loved Ryder and Harper's intense chemistry. Another fantastic book from K. Bromberg! I just wish there was an epilogue or something to show them together more!
