These twelve short stories by Marylee MacDonald are marvels. Each is dryly humorous. Each resonates with the reader. Each explores the underlying viscera of relationships whether between parent/child, employer/employee, or lovers. Some I liked; some I re-read as soon as I finished the first reading. MacDonald is masterful at creating or recreating a setting whether the US, Mexico, Turkey, or Thailand.
