I received an ARC for this book to share my honest review.

This is the second book in the Fox Family Crime Syndicate Series, but it can be read as a standalone. Check the TW/CW before reading!

I really enjoyed this book! It had a friends-to-enemies-to-lovers trope. Finn is a dangerous man to cross and when Effie comes back into his life, they’re pretty much at each other’s throats. Effie is no angel either and doesn’t let people push her around.

Throughout their relationship, there are secrets and lies, manipulations, and deceptions, but there’s also passion between them. I mean the spicy scenes…chef’s kiss!

Seriously though, the storyline was great and kept me interested. I can’t wait to read about the next Fox brother!

Damn this was dark, twisty and oh so hot.

Finneas Fox man, he was equal parts Devilish and swoon worthy, but only for her, that honestly is my favourite thing he turned into a total simp! I adore him!

Then you have Effie, who turns into a total badass. I also adore her.

The two of them together created fire, childhood friends to enemies to lovers, the hate s*x is real, honestly had me blushing! The tension between the two of them was everything. The chemistry was electric, I’m obsessed with the two of them together. The push and pull had me gripped.

Definitely my favourite in the series so far!

Hate Me - Summer O'Toole
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Marriage for love is for princesses in the fairytales, not princesses in the Mafia.

So I was going to give this a 3.75 at first because I won't lie the beginning and how the MCs got together was a tad on the ridiculous side for me ESPECIALLY since they avoided each other for 10 years. BUT it got better
