I am appreciative to have received an ARC of this novel.
*some spoilers*
I did enjoy certain elements of this story. It was entertaining, there's some action. It's told in dual POV. There's A LOT of spice. Overall it's a story worth reading and I would read more by this author. The plot was pretty good but I kind of feel like none of the plot elements were fully pulled together. If the main characters were from rival families how did they meet and come together as teens? More backstory would have been great. The characters especially the MFC was not well developed to me. I also had a hard time visualizing the characters based on the authors descriptions. There was also a heist crew element that I think we could have gotten more insight on what they were doing with the MFC. Certain parts could have been flushed out more and other parts left out like all the forced marriages.  I did enjoy the MMC. He acted as expected for a dark romance novel. The MFC was underdeveloped and I just couldn't identify with her. Towards the end when she starts to stand up for something I did finally start to like her more.
P.S. I do love a novel that includes a song playlist to set a tone and feel. Definitely loved that.
