Oh. My. God.

Read this book. Now.

Well, read the first one first. And then read this one. And maybe clear a week of your diary that you can dedicate to them, and to her other series, because you won't be able to put them down. Trust me on that.

That was sensational.

Every time this woman writes a book I think it can't possible be any better than the previous one. SHE PROVES ME WRONG EVERY TIME.

First things first, I have to give her tons of credit for somehow seamlessly shifting my love for Tam to hatred, and the way that my intrigue towards Rhys became utter adoration at no specific point but over the course of the entire novel. And Feyre...I cannot decide who I love more, Feyre or Aelin. They are two of the strongest, bravest and most beautifully broken characters I have ever encountered, and the fact that they make mistakes, that I sometimes want to wring their necks and scream at how oblivious they are, only makes me love them more because they are all the more real and relatable. Creating characters like that is a work of true genius.

And the violence, the horror - it's not gory by any means, but she sure as hell doesn't flinch away from some sadistic methods of torture. The brilliance of it is that it doesn't push you away, and it never seems unnecessary or over the top, it just makes you love the world of the fey all the more whilst thanking your lucky stars that you have never encountered it.

But there's so much more that makes this book so phenomenal. The relationships, the characters, the descriptions, the flirting, the genius moments of comedy in between the moments that break your heart; Sarah J Maas creates works of art, beautiful, shining creations that leave me breathless. Stunning.

I felt ALL of the emotions. I screamed out loud, swore at the book, cried, laughed out loud. And above all, fell more in love with this world and the characters.

okay so this book was so good but don’t quote me on that and also don’t ask me what it’s about unless you’ve already read the first book in the series. 5 stars because it was such an excellent page turner.

I loved this, I don't even care Tamlin turned 'bad'. I like Rhysand better since the first book and I could totally tell there was more to his character just by his interactions (specially Under the Mountain). Let's see what comes next...

I have my issues with Sarah Maas and the chokehold the words male and female have on her but God damnit I was entertained, screaming, crying, and on my knees for Rhysand.
