Not as good as "The Five People You Meet in Heaven", but a nice story with a very likable character.

This was my Galentine’s read for my Mom. My favorite thing about the book was the way it shows how powerful a parent’s love can be for their child (at any age). My Mom picked this book for the author not the individual story, but I’m glad the book from my Mom ended up highlighting parental love because I have a pretty great Mamma. I love you Mom.

I swear my two star rating is not because I am an evil daughter, but because Mitch Albom just isn’t my jam. I totally get why people love his books, they can be very emotionally powerful. However, I always feel like I am sitting through a story from my stubborn and overly traditional uncle and I find myself waiting for things to be over.

My mom asked me to read this book, so I did. In two afternoons. Just not my type of thing. A little too pithy.

For me, this book made me want to change. It was extremely emotional, relatable, and inspirational. It touched on the selfishness of children that I didn't fully comprehend as a child. The ending was also very surprising. This book was very well written, in my opinion. It was very true to real life and anyone could easily relate to it. In conclusion, this is now one of my favorite books of all time.
