Mitch Albom’s For One More Day is stylistically an easy read, with the content itself being much more serious. The story begins with a man attempting to complete suicide, failing to do so, and spending a day with his deceased mother. It is a philosophical read without being overbearing. My own mother is alive, I (thankfully have few losses in my life) and I do not have children, so my reading of this book really differs from someone meeting one or both of those criteria, but the moral is clear to me: love what you have when you have it. I will likely never reread this book.

Well that was... underwhelming. It was a short and quick read.
The way how the flashbacks and the ghost story were weaved seemed tedious. It has similarities with 'The Five People You Meet in Heaven', but it lacks the heartwarming, inspiring, and compelling elements. Character development? Nada.
Not recommending this one at all.

This is one of my most highlighted books. Every book by Albom makes me reflect about my life and how I want to live it/ how I want to treat the people in it.
