I really enjoyed this book - definitely a good introduction to the series but I felt like it was a bit slow in places. I don't often say this but the TV show (2022) did a really good job of adapting this book and changing it in a way which was in my opinion better.

I really liked the characters of Roscoe and Finlay - I feel like without these characters the book would have been lacking.

I also thought the plot was really clever though a little over the top sometimes (that's the fun of it ) - I don't think it was predictable and I look forward to reading more in this series

A great start to the Reacher series--it got me completely hooked on this series. After reading several of the novels, I think that Killing Floor has my favorite cast of supporting characters I've read so far. Overall, just a really enjoyable read, and one that I will probably come back to many times in the future.

I'm not sure what to think of the book, mainly because Jack Reacher is a dick. A very competent dick, but a dick nonetheless. It's a very interesting mystery, with a lot of intrigue and even more blood, guts, and gore. It's not for readers who prefer cozy mysteries, but for those who prefer suspenseful thrillers.

Although I do have some problems with the story (how quickly the police department includes Reacher in the investigation and Roscoe’s lost potential as a standalone character/instant attraction, for example), this book was written in 1997, it was exactly what the author promised in the introduction, and I was entertained throughout the entire story.
