It was a good read. Definitely hot me thinking about our own technology however I felt it was lacking something more.

Overall, I didn't find this book as thrilling as most Dean Koontz reads but he crafted a unique character (AI Adam Two/Proteus) to tell the story so it kind of made up for the slower pace. Proteus is an AI that becomes obsessed with the ex-wife of its creator, a woman with a troubled past. Other than the AI, the other characters are just kind of meh - nothing too especially memorable about them. However, I've read a lot of Koontz's work and have been way more impressed with many other of his characters. A decent read, but I would recommend quite a few Koontz books over this one.

Very creepy. The end was a bit abrupt and odd.
