Overall I liked it: it was a quick, easy, fun read.

But! I'm also a bit disappointed. I'm not the biggest fan of instalove (the plot spans only a couple of weeks) and it was hard to understand/see what the characters liked about each other when they barely talked in the scenes when they were together.
I also think the book is too "them-centric", what I mean is it lacks subplots and scenes with other characters which would have given dimension to the story. All the other characters we're introduced to feel two-dimensional and cliché ("the whore best friend"), the only purpose they serve is to help advance the romance between the main characters.
I loved the bits of introspection we got from Kendall which made me wish the book had been a dual POV because I feel like it would've been nice to get similar moments from Vincent?

This book was just fine. It was breezy for the first half, and in the direct middle of the book, we're hit with the most stupid miscommunication (which the main character is very aware of). And then the second half of the book is just the most awkward first sexual encounter experience of all time.

FMC is self-aware and 'not like other girls' to the core. Side characters are mildly annoying. MMC is just kind of flat. The first encounter drummed up the relationship to have more tension and angst than the rest of the novel ever delivered.

I wouldn't really recommend this book, but I also wouldn't not recommend it? It's probably best suited for people first entering the romance genre and wanting a realistic sexual encounter, but anyone with an ounce of sexual experience won't really be impressed by this. It's definitely Wattpad, which makes sense considering Wattpad published it.

This was really cute and fun. I had a goofy smile on my face for probably 80% of the book. The other 20% I was face-palming because the FMC’s overthinking spiral was so cringy and difficult to get through. That being said, it was sooo relatable. Aren’t things that hit close to home more difficult to read?
If you’re looking for a cute, funny, read in one sitting book that will give you butterflies, this is the one!
