This is such a tiny little book that I was expecting tiny little poems, but instead these are big, sprawling poems rendered in a very small font size. Frame is an exterminator, so many of these poems have to do with insects and other pests, but they’re always a metaphor for the larger troubles Frame sees in our society. However, there are plenty of intimate love poems here as well. I think my favorite is “Why We Don’t Have Children,” which you can read here: https://www.ellisreview.com/08-23-2017
