Foolish Hearts isn’t bad, but it’s not a stand-out either. There’s nothing special about it ... in fact, the underlying romance plot has been told too many times before. Self-sabotaging teen falls in love unexpectedly. Don’t worry when your world falls apart because you can trust that everything will tie up with that neat little bow in the end. I found myself bored too many times, just because the plot really lacks originality.

First of all, the cover is amazing. I do knitting and embroidery so it's exactly what I want from a cover. I really connected with Claudia as a character. *thumbs up*

Gahhhhhhhhh that was soooo good
I feel like it smoothed out all the overworked muscles in my soul
Also that was not where I thought it was going to go when I picked this up but that misunderstanding is on me.

This author rly knows how to write relatable teenagers like wow. Truly in shock. I’m LITERALLY Claudia. She’s so me in every way. I loved all the characters and their friendships seemed so genuine and raw!!

I actually really enjoyed this book. Plot was rushed a little sometimes, but it fit well with the demographic they were aiming for. Perfect nerd references, awkward romantics and redeeming introverts.

As far as teen romances go, I liked this a lot.
It had:
- female friendships!
- healthy long-distance sibling relationship
- A Midsummer Nights dream (which took me back to my own school production of the play wayyyyy back when(I feel so old))
- queer characters
- boys being platonically intimate

Its obviously not written for me, but i'm in full support of books for teens that don't promote unhealthy shit.
