i absolutely adore the illustrations in this series - just so so reminds me of my childhood - perfect length for a 1st grader or 3rd grader even

This time around Junie B Jones is selected as team captain for her room to go up against the rival room eight. They have to learn to support each other and to understand that winning isn't everything since they lose almost every event. But along with this Junie B must overcome tooting her own her and appreciating what others can do to support the team.

This one was decent. Nothing overly funny and ends with no fan fare. Kids liked it but not as much as many of the other ones.

So, this is my first review... and naturally it's for a Junie B. Jones book! I'm in my twenties, and I still keep my collection of Junie B. Jones books handy in case of late-night boredom. Junie B. Jones Is a Party Animal is one of my absolute favorites by Barbara Park. A lot of people take Park's use of "kid language" too seriously, saying that it will not help kids learn to use proper grammar. Well, coming from a kid who loved these books throughout her childhood and then grew up to take A.P. English in high school, your argument is invalid. Anyway, Junie B.'s interactions with Lucille's Nanna in this particular book still make me laugh to this day. I mean, what else can you say about any Junie B. Jones book? They are all hilarious!

I used to love these books! But I have to rate them all 2-3 stars though so Goodreads doesn't recommend me younger books
