right. so. maybe i finished this at 1am and read it completely deliriously after travelling for 48 hours straight! that being said… the convolution and complexity of the plot was slightly excessive. i see what the author was doing, the novel was well written and excellently edited. the cast of characters was just too large, the chronicling too long, for this book to be entertaining and impactful FOR ME. i couldn’t keep track of anyone or anything because there was too basically too much content. it is an impressive work!! and i would recommend it to those who like historical/nonfiction.
