Not a huge fan of teacher and student dynamics (former teacher) but I did love their story.

This was so unserious and raunchy… exactly what I was looking for! The pacing was a bit fast. They went from 0 to 100 real quick. But it’s a silly goofy romance novel, not Shakespeare.

In between a 3 and 4 star rating for this. Quite enjoyed the spice!

Tessa Bailey cannot write a bad book!

I loved seeing more of the "supergroup" and I can't wait for Abby and Russell's story. Ben sure did strike out a lot in this book but I couldn't help but root for him and Honey. They had so much chemistry and were so drawn to one another. Tessa Bailey writes the best dirty talking boys...love it!

"Does it hurt? Tell me it still hurts so I can lick it better."

PROFESSOR!

So, I guess Tessa Bailey has been putting crack in her books or something. (For legal reasons, that was a joke.) It doesn't matter which book I choose, I still end up adoring it! She makes amazing characters. She hooks me with the male character, making him perfectly imperfect, and then doesn't even let me hate on the female character. It's so nice to just be aggravated with both of the characters for being human instead of being so angry at annoying characters.

It has everything that you think it will have, but the saving grace for the dreaded third act break-up is that it was for good reason. This already started out wobbly because of their situation. I would normally frown upon teacher/student relationships, but this one just didn't upset me. It was a little concerning at first, I'll admit.

Potential Spoilers
Cons: mama issues?, indecision is a plague, the aggression against her hometown hottie was a bit much and I should not have liked it as much as I did. It doesn't make up for anything necessarily, but damn, son. Personal gripe, but why do they always use the "t" word for breasts? It just kind of takes me out of the story sometimes when I least expect it. "finger bang"? Ew. Ending was too quick and dramatic.
These were the things that kept it from a 5 rating.

My Wins are usually in the form of quotes. Sorry, not sorry, here are some quotes!:

"I'm the guy who just flew to Lexington and took three buses to get her back. I'm the guy who would have flown or ridden anywhere to get her back. I'm hungover, missing this girl, and now I'm pissed off on top of it. So you want to go outside and be the person I take out my frustration on? Let's go."- Ben
"Who was Elmer to you, Honey? Please note that I'm speaking in the past tense." "My high school sweetheart. You jealous of ol' Elmer, Ben?" "'Jealous' is too common a word. His existence is a threat to my sanity."- Ben & Honey
"If I gave you the impression I only want to get inside you, let me clear it up. I want to be your boyfriend. I want to take all those thoughts you put on paper for class assignments and hoard them, just for me. Make you say them while you're wrapped around me in bed. Fucking or not. I want to know your favorite movie, restaurant, and sexual position. All of it. I want it to be mine."- Ben

Not as much fun as Chase Me. I found the power dynamic between our main characters to be... honestly...gross. Definitely not my favorite.

Meh. I like these characters. I thought their story could have been better. Not sure what it was missing for me, they had plenary of attraction and spice, I just wanted to see their characters develop a bit more. I am really reaching for depth in a spicy romance….
