A really beautiful, thoughtful, personal collection of poems about the author's experiences in the world. Various topics covered, but essentially about identity and culture.

A very engaging, readable, and accessible collection centred on the Afro-Latina experience. Plenty of pop culture reference, but readers will especially appreciate Ode to the New York Public Library and Thank You, Toni.
